Opportunity In Disguise

“Opportunity doesn’t always arrive looking inspiring. Sometimes it arrives disguised as the thing you would have avoided if you had been given the choice.”
~Slim Sammy~

Nobody signs up for the hard version.

You want the opportunity that shows up looking like a gift — easy, obvious, exciting. Instead it shows up looking like a delay, an inconvenience, a thing you’d have skipped if you’d had the choice.

It asks you to pause when you wanted to go. To listen when you wanted to prove something. To separate who you are from whatever outcome you were chasing.

That’s not bad luck. That’s the opportunity working exactly the way it’s supposed to.
