Grit

| “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.” ~Calvin Coolidge~ There’s a tree that grows sideways out of a crack in solid rock. No good soil, barely any water, wind hitting it every single day. By all logic it shouldn’t be there. But it just kept growing toward the light, a little at a time, year after year, until the crack couldn’t hold it back anymore. That’s grit. Not the dramatic breakthrough — just showing up in bad conditions long enough that eventually you’re too strong to stop. Nobody sees the years it took to grow that way. They just see the tree still standing. Keep growing. Especially through the crack. The Dude 🐸 Thought for the Day Persistence doesn’t need good conditions. It just needs you to keep showing up. |
