Mindfulness, Not Mindlessness

Tink doesn’t need a routine for this. He just does it.

Game’s over, glove comes off, phone stays in the bag a little longer. He takes it all in first — the field, the quiet, the river past the fence — before he lets the rest of the world back in.

Not because he’s avoiding anything. Because some things are worth being fully present for before you go check what everyone else was doing.
