Healing

“Time heals what reason cannot.”
~ Seneca ~

Somebody hurt you. Maybe a long time ago. Maybe last week. Maybe you’re still not sure what exactly happened β€” just that something in you went sideways and hasn’t quite come back yet.

You’ve talked about it. Thought about it. Looked at it from every angle. Read the right stuff. Done the work. And it’s still there.

Here’s the thing β€” some things don’t respond to thinking. They respond to Wednesday becoming Thursday. To a couple hundred more sunrises. To waking up one morning and realizing the weight is a little lighter than it was, and you didn’t even try to make that happen.

That’s healing. It’s not dramatic. It doesn’t announce itself. You just look up one day and notice you’re okay.

Thought for the Day
Some things can’t be reasoned through. They just need time β€” and your permission to let it work.
