Smell The Flowers Along The Way

“You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”
~Walter Hagen~

Mama’s got a rule: if it’s pretty, you stop for it.

Doesn’t matter if she’s got somewhere to be. She’ll slow her whole walk down for a good patch of wildflowers along the path.

People rush past beauty all the time, chasing the next thing. Mama figures the next thing will still be there in five minutes. The flowers might not.

Short visit, she says. Might as well enjoy the scenery.
