The Wedge

“You don’t have to move mountains. Sometimes you just have to hold the space.”
~Unknown~
Sometimes the people we love are pushing a boulder up a hill.
And our first instinct is to run up behind them and push as hard as we can. Big push. Good intentions. But sometimes the boulder rolls right back anyway — and now you’re both at the bottom.
The Dude learned something about this.
Don’t push the boulder. Get beside it. Find a spot where you can wedge yourself in — just far enough to stop the roll. Feet planted. Steady. Not forcing it. Just holding it.
That’s love. That’s patience. That’s the difference between forcing change and supporting it.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for someone is just make sure they can’t go backwards.

Thought for the Day
Is there someone in your life who needs a wedge right now — not a push, just someone to hold the space?
