Two Gears

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
~Maya Angelou~

Some days you’re on fire — ideas flying, connections popping, everything clicking. Other days you can’t seem to get anything done and you wonder what’s wrong with you.

Nothing’s wrong with you.

You have two gears. Ideation mode and execute mode. One dreams it. One builds it. The mistake most people make is trying to run both at the same time.

The back porch is for one gear. The desk is for the other.

Know which one you’re in. Honor it. Then shift when it’s time.
