Meet Tater

| “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ~Mahatma Gandhi~ Meet Tater…also known as The Putzer around The River. Every morning, same diner, same time — 5:48 AM, first one through the door. Then straight to work with his hands, building things that last. If you ask anyone on The River who they’d call if they needed help, and you’ll hear the same name…Tater. He’s the guy who shows up — no fanfare, no expectation of anything back. He putzes around, sure, but somehow everything that needs to get done, gets done…and so much more. That’s the thing about people who’ve truly learned to serve others — they don’t do it for the credit. They do it because somewhere along the way, they figured out that helping someone else is the surest way to find yourself. If you want to thank him, a nice bowl of Peanut Butter ice cream will always do the trick. Thought For The Day You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up. |
